A shooting at a library in California, USA has left two people dead.
According to the Associated Press, the incident took place at a branch of the Butte County Library in Chico.
Police Chief Billy Aldrich said officers responded to a 911 call around 5:00 PM.
When police entered the building, the suspect attempted to flee through a back door but was apprehended.
"What happened tonight is truly sad and shocking for many people," Aldrich said.
A child sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. The suspect's identity and motive have not yet been released.
