The US Armed Forces have officially lifted the naval blockade imposed on Iran. Ships entering or leaving Iranian ports are no longer obstructed.
According to Oxu.Az, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) released a statement.
"In line with the US President's directive, the blockade on all maritime traffic to and from Iranian ports and coastal zones has been lifted. US naval vessels no longer interfere with transit to Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. All measures aimed at enforcing the military blockade have been terminated," the statement said.
According to CENTCOM, US warships will remain in the region to monitor compliance with agreements. Their main task is to ensure adherence to all provisions of the deal.
It is recalled that a 14-point memorandum was signed between the US and Iran. A ceremony for the signing is planned to be held in Switzerland.
