The United States Marine Corps is using the video game "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" in the training process for new sergeants.
According to "Daily Star," a modified version of the game offers over 10 tactical scenarios where troops improve leadership, communication, and rapid decision-making under high stress.
Before each mission, future sergeants devise an action plan, then face numerically superior "enemies" to accomplish assigned tasks.
Command representatives emphasize the project's goal to create conditions as close to real combat as possible. Brigadier General Matthew Tracy noted: "These skills directly contribute to the ability to make correct decisions under high pressure."
Currently, this training method is also applied at the sergeant school in Quantico.
