The Washington administration is considering the possibility of providing Turkey with "F-35 Lightning II" fighters. US Vice President JD Vance stated that work is underway with Congress on this issue.
Vance said: "I know that Pete Hegseth and the whole team are working on this. There are certain points that need to be approved according to US law. The President has tasked us with handling this."
The Vice President emphasized that the matter primarily falls under Congress' authority. He explained: "It's about whether Turkey complies with US legal requirements to acquire F-35 fighters."
