The US military has attacked a suspected drug smuggling boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing one person.
According to the US Southern Command, the vessel was moving along known drug trafficking routes and was confirmed to be used for smuggling.
Two people survived the attack. The Coast Guard was alerted for search and rescue. No US personnel were injured.
