The US government has authorized limited use of Anthropic's "Claude Mythos 5" artificial intelligence model.

According to Oxu.Az, the company's press office announced this on social network X.

Semafor reports that official Washington has allowed Anthropic to provide access to this AI model to over 100 US organizations and government agencies. Company officials said they will continue to appeal to US authorities to lift restrictions on the other banned model, "Fable 5".

Note that access to the model was suspended in mid-June.

Recall that about two weeks ago, the US administration imposed export control mechanisms on both AI models. This step was taken after warnings from Amazon and other corporations that the models could be vulnerable to hacker attacks and used for criminal purposes. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick clarified that American officials are now fully confident that the company is complying with necessary security rules.
