The bodies of three Indian sailors missing after a US strike on an Indian tanker have been found.
According to Oxu.Az, India's Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, announced this on social media platform X.
"Sadly, the bodies of the three Indian sailors initially reported missing have been found and identified, confirming their death. This is a heavy loss for our maritime family," he said.
The minister also emphasized that the Indian government is ready to provide necessary support to the relatives of the deceased.
"I have instructed officials to ensure immediate repatriation of rescued crew members and the earliest possible return of the bodies of the deceased for last rites," Sonowal added.
