The US Armed Forces have launched new strikes against targets in Iran.

According to Oxu.Az, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported this on the 'X' platform.

"US Central Command forces have begun additional self-defense strikes against several targets in Iran at the direction of the commander-in-chief. These strikes are in response to Iran's unjustified and ongoing aggression," the official statement emphasized.

Meanwhile, explosions have been reported in various regions of Iran, and air defense systems have been activated, according to the Mehr news agency.

Initial reports indicate that air defense systems were activated in the Tehran area. Additionally, explosions were heard on Qeshm Island, as well as in the settlements of Sirik and Minab.

It should be noted that alongside US strikes on islands near the Strait of Hormuz and the capital Tehran, claims are circulating about Iranian retaliatory strikes on Iraqi Kurdistan.
