US forces have struck several targets in southern Iran.

Fox News reported, citing US Central Command spokesperson Tim Hawkins, that the US military conducted self-defense strikes today to protect its forces from threats posed by Iranian forces.

Targets included missile launch sites and Iranian boats. It was noted that the boats targeted were attempting to lay mines.
