The US administration has denied reports circulating in Iranian media that Washington would release $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios, cited sources saying these claims are completely false. "This is an implementation-based agreement. No frozen funds will be released until Iran fully fulfills its obligations," he stated on X.

Ravid added that the process cannot take place before the 60-day negotiation phase begins.

Recall that Mehr agency had previously reported, citing sources, that approximately $12 billion of Iran's assets would be released before the final round of talks.
