An explosion at a gas filling station in Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region has killed six people.
According to Oxu.Az, the information was released by the press service of the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On June 8 at 1:50 PM local time (12:50 PM Baku time), a signal was received about an explosion at a station where household gas cylinders were being filled. The fire was fully localized by 2:55 PM local time (1:55 PM Baku time). Six people died in the incident, and five others were hospitalized with various injuries.
Initial reports indicate that four vehicles and two underground fuel tanks were severely damaged. Following a directive from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a special government commission has been established. The commission will provide assistance to victims, investigate the causes of the explosion, and implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
