US Vice President JD Vance is considering dropping out of the 2028 presidential race after Tulsi Gabbard resigned as Director of National Intelligence.
According to Oxu.Az, "The Daily Mail" reported this citing sources.
Sources say Gabbard was one of Vance's few allies in curbing President Donald Trump's military ambitions.
"The vice president's soft foreign policy has put him at odds with Trump. Rubio has more influence than Vance. The president listens to him. Vance doesn't fit the picture," a White House source said.
It is reported that dropping out could be a tactical move for Vance, allowing him to avoid blame for recent events. To win in 2032 and 2036, he must maintain political weight for about a decade.
