The agreement between Iran and the US does not involve the transfer of funds by Washington, but other countries may invest in the Islamic Republic's economy.
Oxu.Az reports that US Vice President JD Vance said this in an interview with Fox News.
"The agreement states that they will not receive a penny of American money. It also says that if the Iranians comply with the deal, sanctions are eased, and Iran integrates into the global economy, we will offer other states, excluding the US, to invest in their country. But this is only possible if the deal is adhered to," the vice president said.
Furthermore, JD Vance also spoke about the steps to be taken if the terms of the agreement with Iran are violated. He said that if the US administration believes Tehran has violated the terms, it could strike Iran again and reinstate a naval blockade.
"That could happen. That could mean bringing back the blockade. That could mean many other things. All the leverage is on our side. If they don't comply with the agreements, we will decide what to do," he emphasized.
