A Venezuelan beauty queen was attacked in her hotel room while attending the Cannes Film Festival.
According to Oxu.Az citing the New York Post, the tiara beauty issued a statement about the incident.
Andrea del Valle, 29, who won the title of Miss Venezuela 2025, stated on social media that her 33-year-old stylist, Giovanni Laguna, physically assaulted her while in France.
The model filmed herself with blood streaming down her face and posted the video on her social media. In the clip, del Valle speaks in Spanish: "Look, Giovanni Laguna did this. Congratulations, Giovanni, this is exactly what I wanted—to show who you really are."
She then turned the camera around to show the trashed room with belongings scattered everywhere. The video also shows Laguna sitting on a chair in the corner of the room.
Guests at the luxury hotel heard screaming, banging sounds, and signs of a physical struggle, prompting them to call the police. Laguna was taken away by officers.
Laguna is widely known as a stylist for many Latin American celebrities and beauty queens. He has been the creative director of Miss Universe Colombia since 2023.
