Dozens of staff in French nurseries and schools have been investigated for physical violence and sexual assault against children, sparking a major scandal in the country.
According to Oxu.Az, citing The Guardian, Paris police are examining over 100 complaints regarding child abuse and mistreatment. The allegations reportedly occurred during lunch breaks, nap times, and extracurricular activities.
Parent groups have long demanded serious attention to these complaints. They claim that gaps in staff recruitment and vetting processes have allowed such incidents to persist.
It is noted that temporary workers supervising children in French schools are often hired by local municipalities on a temporary basis without special training or diplomas.
