Lip-reading expert Jeremy Hickling has analyzed the greeting between US President Donald Trump and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte at the G7 summit in France.
According to Oxu.Az citing the IrishStar, Hickling said that Trump told Macron he was "ready for this evening" and expressed pleasure in seeing him. The two then shook hands briefly.
Subsequently, Trump greeted Brigitte Macron. The expert noted that Trump shook hands with the first lady and continued a brief conversation. Trump said, "Hello, dear." Brigitte replied, "Happy birthday!" Trump responded, "Thank you for the money." Brigitte answered, "Glad to help a good cause."
On social media platform X, some users noted that Brigitte seemed to try to pull her hand away from Trump, leading to what they described as a meaningless tug-of-war between the two.
It is worth noting that on June 15, the three-day G7 summit began in Evian, France, with representatives from seven of the world's most influential countries—the UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, the US, and the European Union.
