The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has reported a hantavirus outbreak on the cruise ship "MV Hondius."

According to him, 11 passengers have been infected, nine of whom tested positive for the "Andes" hantavirus. Three deaths have been confirmed.

The incident occurred in the Atlantic Ocean, and WHO released the information on May 4.
