Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has announced he will run for re-election, claiming there are those who want to take over the club. The identity of the person has been revealed.
According to Oxu.Az citing Haber Global, one of the most surprising moments of Perez's press conference was his mention of a businessman from the energy sector with a South American accent who wants to run for president. Perez challenged him to run.
Perez said, "I decided to hold an election, a new candidate will emerge. Let the gentleman working in the electricity business with a South American accent be a candidate. He may also have a Mexican accent. They say we are very bad, a dictatorship. Let this gentleman be a candidate, let anyone who wants be a candidate."
It is noted that he refers to Enrique Riquelme Vives, current CEO of Spain's Cox Energy solar energy company, which started operations in 2014 and has offices and projects in Mexico, Chile, Panama, Colombia, and Spain.
Enrique Riquelme Vives, interested in Formula-E, golf, and many other sports, is a Real Madrid fan. News has spread that he could challenge Florentino Perez in the club election.
