A passerby rescued a two-year-old child locked inside a car near a beach in Marseille, France.
As temperatures soared to 40°C, the woman spotted the toddler alone in a vehicle parked under direct sunlight. She broke the car window and immediately called emergency services.
According to reports, the parents had gone to the beach alternately to grab belongings, each assuming the child was with the other. They returned as soon as they realized the toddler was left alone.
The child was taken to a medical center for examination and is now in stable condition. Police have conducted interviews with the parents; legal measures are pending.
