Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a closed-door meeting with G7 leaders on the sidelines of the summit in Evian, France.
According to reports, the main topic was the military conflict in Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron personally greeted Zelensky with a hug. They discussed how to engage with US President Donald Trump, who opposes continued aid to Kyiv.
The White House confirmed Trump has no planned one-on-one with Zelensky, though a brief chat is possible. Trump did not attend the closed session.
The G7 summit kicked off June 16 in Evian and runs through June 17.
