The Zimbabwean government is developing an action plan in response to the rapid spread of malaria in the country.

According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by "The Herald" newspaper.

According to the information, in the first months of 2026, malaria cases in the country quadrupled, reaching 65,000.

Zimbabwe's Health Minister, Douglas Mombezhora, stated that it is urgent to identify and eliminate the causes of the rapid spread of the disease.

According to the minister, this situation is not unique to Zimbabwe. The authorities have begun investigating the reasons for the outbreak.
