Judge Murad Aslanov of the Baku Heavy Crimes Court explained the conditions for an acquittal.
According to the Supreme Court, an acquittal is issued when a person's innocence is proven.
Under the Criminal Procedure Code, grounds include: absence of a crime, lack of criminal elements in the act, no proven involvement, or failure to prove guilt.
The judge emphasized that the court independently examines all evidence.
Unlike a suspended sentence, an acquittal fully absolves the person of guilt.
