A simple dietary change can reduce diabetes risk in just three months, says dietitian Nuriya Dianova in an interview with Lenta.ru.
She states that stress, low physical activity, and unhealthy foods cause prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. The first step is to quit sugary drinks.
Replace sugar with healthy sweets like dried fruits and nuts. Choose water infused with fruits, berries, mint, or basil.
Reduce white flour products and processed meats. Opt for whole grain bread, fish, poultry, and home-cooked meals.
"Applying one healthy habit consistently for a month can remove you from the risk zone," she emphasized.
