Maxim Protasov, head of the Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo), stated that if consumer interest in products made in Armenia increases, mass inspections will be conducted.

He said this in an interview with TASS. Protasov noted that inspections are based on consumer interest, not the country of origin.

Recall that since May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor has restricted imports of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, greens, and strawberries from Armenia. Since June 2, cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, and grapes have also been restricted.
