Russia's import restrictions on Armenian products are impacting trade revenues amounting to 1.5-2% of Armenia's GDP.
According to Oxu.Az citing TASS, this was stated by Vazgen Poghosyan, head of the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Armenia.
"Revenues from products with export difficulties constitute about 1.5-2% of GDP. Total exports to Russia account for approximately 6% of GDP," he said.
Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan noted that without alternative markets, this could lead to 0.6% deflation.
Recall that Russia previously restricted imports of Armenian mineral water, alcoholic beverages, vegetables, and fruits.
