Spanish cardiologist Aurelio Roxas revealed, based on scientific research, that the strawberry is the most beneficial summer berry for heart health.
According to the doctor, strawberries play a key role in fighting chronic inflammation due to their high antioxidant and fiber content. This type of inflammation is a major cause of serious health issues such as diabetes, obesity, and chronic fatigue.
Regular consumption of strawberries improves insulin sensitivity and normalizes blood sugar levels.
The cardiologist explains: "A sharp rise in blood glucose increases inflammatory processes in the body, accelerating vascular and cellular aging and directly raising the risk of cardiovascular diseases."
Strawberries also increase satiety without extra calories and minimize oxidative stress, making them an ideal food for those who want to protect their heart during summer.
