Customs officers in Astara have uncovered over 22 kg of marijuana concealed in a lettuce shipment.
According to the State Customs Committee, a truck carrying lettuce from Iran to Russia was scanned at the "South-Astara" customs post, revealing suspicious outlines.
A subsequent inspection with a sniffer dog led to the discovery of 191 packages hidden under the lettuce, containing 22 kg 565 g of dried marijuana.
An investigation is underway.
