The Main Department for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs seized a large amount of drugs and methadone pills during an operation.
A previously convicted 50-year-old woman, Matanat Gafarova, and a 25-year-old man, Nurlan Gorodalov, were detained.
Nearly 72 kg of marijuana and 5,687 methadone pills were found in their Chevrolet car.
The detainees planned to smuggle the drugs into the country using a paraglider.
A criminal case has been initiated, and both suspects have been remanded in custody.
