The trial of Anar Nahmatov, accused of large-scale theft from citizens in Baku, has concluded.
During the proceedings at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, presided over by judge Azer Tagiyev, state prosecutor Vusal Mehraliyev proposed a sentence of 9 years and 6 months.
After deliberation, the verdict was announced: Nahmatov was sentenced to 6 years, 11 months, and 12 days of imprisonment.
He was found guilty under articles 234.1-1 (illegal drug trafficking), 177.2.1 and 177.2.3 (theft by prior conspiracy and unlawful entry into a residence) of the Criminal Code.
