In recent years, illegal online casinos and gambling have spread widely on the global internet. These platforms lure people with promises of "easy money" on social media.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Directorate for Combating Cybercrime conducted an operation. Safar Safarov, Fazil Mammadov, Riyad Heydarli, and Nadir Soltanov were detained.
They managed the Azerbaijani segment of casino sites created abroad. Over 200 bank cards and technical equipment were seized.
Two individuals were arrested, while investigations continue for the others. The Ministry calls on citizens to avoid illegal gambling.
