Baku's Sabail District Court sentenced Etibar Imamverdiyev to 6 years in prison for telecommunication crimes.
He was placed on an international wanted list by the State Security Service (DTX), detained abroad, and extradited to Azerbaijan.
Imamverdiyev used special devices to secretly connect to the country's telecommunications network and organized illegal international communication services.
He also interfered with the computer system of state-important infrastructure and altered data. These actions caused significant financial damage to AzInTelecom.
