The criminal case of Said Rustamzadeh, accused of threatening a citizen, has been heard in court.
According to Oxu.Az, the victim testified in a session chaired by Judge Hafiz Kamranov at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.
The victim stated that he ran a massage salon in the Nasimi district: "The salon had an administrator and three massage therapists besides me. It operated legally. A man introduced himself as an official and came to the salon. He claimed he would patronize the salon and that no law enforcement officers would bother us."
He paid 3,000 manats and agreed to monthly payments: "Later, I couldn't pay due to health issues. He threatened to create problems for me."
Witness Gulnaz Huseynova testified: "Said entered the salon in a suit and showed a red document. After talking to the manager, he demanded 30,000 manats for the salon to operate."
The next court hearing is scheduled for June 8. Said Rustamzadeh is charged under Article 182.2.4 (extortion to obtain a large amount of property).
