In Baku, Najaf Gafarov and his daughter Nurana Najafova, accused of murder, objected to the court's composition.
At the Baku Heavy Crimes Court, presided by Judge Nigar Imanova, defense lawyer Rovshan Gasimov filed a motion challenging the court panel. The motion was rejected.
Examination of evidence continues. The next hearing is scheduled for June 9.
The incident occurred on April 21 in the Binagadi district. Adil Maharramov, 37, was murdered. Suspect father-in-law Najaf Gafarov was detained. Later, his daughter Nurana was also charged.
They are accused of intentional murder under aggravating circumstances.
