The Baku Court of Grave Crimes has sentenced Araz Safarzade (surname conditional) for intentionally causing grave bodily harm with hooligan motives.
The incident occurred in early 2025 in a private home in Binaqadi district. At around 3 AM, an argument erupted between the brothers. The accused grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his brother Ahmed in the abdomen.
The victim suffered a life-threatening injury but was saved by doctors. The court reclassified the charge to Article 126.1 of the Criminal Code and sentenced the accused to 3 years in prison.
