The owner of Baku-Hovsan International Trade Sea Port, Ruslan Eyyubov, port chief Rashad Dashdamirov, and port station chief Farid Usubov have been brought before the court again. They are accused of smuggling cigarettes worth 5 million manats.
The prosecutor requested an extension of the detention period. Binagadi District Court granted the motion, considering the ongoing investigation and the need to gather additional evidence.
As a result, the detention of all three individuals has been extended by another 3 months. They were arrested 5 months ago.
The case is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Main Directorate under the Prosecutor General. Notably, Farid Usubov is the son of former major-general Jabrayil Usubov.
