Two individuals have been arrested in Bilasuvar for smuggling 47 kilograms of drugs into the country using a paraglider.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operation uncovered 47 kg of marijuana and opium, along with 10,104 psychotropic pills.
The suspects, previously convicted Jalalahramanov, 62, and Rashid Mammadaliyev, 35, planned to sell the drugs in the capital.
Both have been remanded in custody; a criminal case has been initiated.
