The Baku Court of Appeal has reduced the sentence of Anass Derraz, vice-president of French company SAUR, by three years.
His 12-year prison term was commuted to 9 years.
Derraz and Alexandre Benalla are accused of bribery involving Azerbaijani-born Russian billionaire Farhad Ahmedov.
They allegedly demanded $6.14 million in bribes to lift international sanctions on Ahmedov's assets.
Benalla is on Interpol's Red Notice and is sought internationally.
