The trial of TikToker Elsevar Nabiyev, known as "Elish," accused of illegal drug trafficking, has concluded.
At the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the prosecutor requested a 5-year sentence, but the court sentenced him to 3 years in prison.
Nabiyev was detained in November last year by Nasimi District Police officers, who found 2.389 grams of methamphetamine on him.
He was charged under Article 234.1-1 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, storage, preparation, processing, transportation of narcotic drugs without the purpose of sale in significant amount). Previously, he had been arrested for promoting drug use on TikTok.
