The trial has started for Seymur Manafov, accused of murdering his coworker at a famous hotel in Baku.
At the Baku Serious Crimes Court, presided over by Judge Farid Namazov, the defendant's personal details were verified.
The court decided to proceed with the case and upheld the pre-trial detention measure.
The next hearing is scheduled for May 21.
The incident occurred on January 25 at around 7 PM. Shamistan Aliyev, a 1996-born waiter, was stabbed to death in the laundry room.
Investigation revealed strong suspicions that Seymur Manafov, born in 1992, committed the murder, leading to his arrest.
Manafov is charged under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code.
