The appeal trial of Armenian citizens accused of numerous crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, including preparation and waging of aggressive war, genocide, violation of war laws and rules, as well as terrorism, financing of terrorism, forcible seizure and retention of power, and other crimes, has commenced.
According to Oxu.Az citing AZERTAC, the case will be heard at the Baku Court of Appeal under Judge Elmar Rahimov. The trial starts today.
Recall that by the decision of the Baku Military Court, Arutyunyan Arayik, Mnatsakanyan Levon, Manukyan David, Ishkhanyan Davit, and Babayan David were sentenced to life imprisonment. Gukasyan Arkadi and Saakyan Bako received 20 years, Babayan Madat and Pashayan Melikset 19 years, Martirosyan Garik 18 years, Allakhverdyan Davit and Balayan Levon 16 years, Beglaryan Vasili, Stepanyan Gurgen, and Ghazaryan Erik 15 years.
