Verdict in state funds embezzlement case

Three officials accused of embezzling state funds received verdicts including suspended sentence, imprisonment, and restricted freedom.

The trial of Maharram Aliyev, Gurbankhan Isgandarov, and Yashar Heydarov has concluded.

Judge Ayshan Valiyeva read the verdict at the Lankaran Heavy Crimes Court.

Maharram Aliyev received a suspended sentence. Gurbankhan Isgandarov was sentenced to 2 years, 1 month, and 5 days in prison. Yashar Heydarov received 2 years and 6 months of restricted freedom.

Most of the damage has been compensated. The total damage is 66,472.17 manats.
