Four members of Iran's national team delegation have successfully appealed the denial of US visas for the World Cup. According to BBC, those who got visas include a team analyst and two representatives of Iran's Football Federation's international relations department.
However, 11 other members still face visa problems. They reapplied after arriving in Mexico. Six people, including Federation President Mehdi Taj, were denied again.
Iran will play three World Cup games on US soil. Due to visa issues, the team must leave the US after each game. Initially planned to base in Arizona, the camp was moved to Mexico over safety concerns.
In the group stage, Iran will face New Zealand (June 15) and Belgium (June 21) in Inglewood, and Egypt (June 26) in Seattle.
