Prince Albert II of Monaco has strongly condemned the first terrorist act recorded in the country's history.

Several people, including Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Yermolayev, were injured in the incident.

"The explosion in Monaco has shaken the entire Monegasque community," said an official statement from the Prince's Palace.

Prince Albert II praised the work of public security forces and expressed condolences to the victims, their families, and local residents affected by the attack: "Princess Charlene, my family and I wish to express our deepest sympathy and unwavering support to each of them."

On June 29, reports emerged that an explosion occurred at the entrance of a residential building in Monaco at 21:00 local time (23:00 Baku time). Three people were reported to be in serious condition. According to Christophe Mirman, the Minister of State, this incident is the first terrorist act recorded in the principality's history.

According to BFMTV, one of the injured is Vadim Yermolayev, a Cypriot citizen and Ukrainian media's list of richest businessmen. Yermolayev renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and was sanctioned by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council in 2023.
