Two solar flares of M-class strength were recorded on the morning of June 30.
According to the Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics, the flares occurred in sunspot groups 4475 and 4479.
The first flare was M1.3 and lasted 115 minutes. The second was M1.4 and lasted 39 minutes.
Scientists warn that stronger flares in the coming days could directly hit Earth.
Solar flares are classified into A, B, C, M, and X categories based on X-ray intensity.
