US Vice President JD Vance stated that progress has been made in diplomatic talks with Iran.
Vance told reporters that the negotiations are "a very sensitive process."
"I cannot disclose all details because we are trying to conduct productive discussions," he added.
The Vice President revealed that he had a long phone call this morning with Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and several partners from the Arab world.
"I believe we are moving towards successful outcomes," Vance emphasized.
He added that the key issue is whether the progress meets the President's main demand: a firm guarantee that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons.
Recall that on February 28, Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran, with the US later joining the operation. Iran retaliated by firing dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel.
On March 1, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reported killed in the strikes. Iran also hit US military bases in neighboring countries, temporarily closing airspace and disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
On April 8, President Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran, but Washington later agreed to a two-week ceasefire. The first meeting was held in Islamabad, while the second, scheduled for April 22, did not take place.
